Sicilian-style Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 542 g all purpose flour 4 1/2 cups
- 2 tsp Active Dry Yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 370 g water 1 3/4 cups
Instructions
- Using warm water (115 degrees), mix in yeast and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Measuring and add flour and salt in a stand mixer. Pour in water mixture and using the bread hook, mix the dough on medium for three minutes.
- Place dough in a large bowl greased with olive oil. Cover with a clean towel while the dough rises, about 45 minutes to an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
- Grease an 11"x17" baking sheet liberally with olive oil. Pour out the dough and gently stretch the dough to the corners. Allow the dough to rise for 30 minutes.
- Top with your favorite toppings and bake for 25 minutes, turning pizza halfway through baking.
